September was a month of firsts for us. Aside from completing our first CSR project, we also hosted our very first event:  Vertaccount’s Small Business Workshop.  Designed for budding business owners, three speakers (who are small business owners themselves) shared their insights on how entrepreneurs can succeed especially during their ventures’ start up phase.

Don’t fret if you weren’t able to attend. We asked our three speakers what that single best tip they can give to any small business owner and putting them online! Find out what they have to say below:

Question: “If you were to give one fool-proof tip to a small business owner, what would it be and why?”

Tip 1: “Understand what you are good at and what you are passionate about. As a business owner, it’s your vision, energy and focus that drives your success.  Find trusted partners to outsource areas of the business that you don’t have the skills or passion for.”  Bernice Parsons, President of Vertaccount, Inc.
