Putting the wonder in women, this month is all about girls finding an ally in each other and breaking down barriers. The Women’s March may have already passed, but that doesn’t stop us from moving forward, and we’ve got it permanently listed down in our holidays as a loud reminder that asks: who run the world? Girls.

Coming from different roots and all raised in working-class families, International Women’s Month is a time for the ladies to be celebrated for what they are: strong and independent. With 2018 being a forward-thinking year, the buzz about female empowerment is louder than ever, and everyone is invited to join in the conversation. Like a girl scout knocking on your door, women these days are a tough cookie that gives you something sweet to chew on: gender equality.

They say that girls just want to have fun, and that’s exactly what Vertaccount did last Friday on the 9th of March. Having arranged a party for all the women in the workplace, it was an action-packed get-together for the girl gangs of the office. Organized and led by the HR team, the pro-woman conversations talked about topics that inspire, empower and encourage: “Women’s Career Development,” and “Balancing Career and Motherhood”.

Giving more life to the party by the girl boss herself, Bernice Parsons, the President of Vertaaccount shared her two cents and gave her all-out support to the team. “Nurture your confidence, be interested and go beyond your comfort zone,” she continues, “Speak up. You have a voice. We all have a seat at the table,” she says as one of the highlight reels of her message for the night.

Ending the night with more power to girls, they bring home more than just left-over party meals: motivation, empowerment and a fiercer spirit. Today, and throughout the month of March, we officially give cheers to the ladies all over the world and pack the winning punch as the wonder women of our time.
